Subject: PhD Opportunity on Community Archiving in Liverpool
Dear all,
Apologies for any cross-posting.
Please find (via the link below) information about a funded PhD opportunity
to work on a participatory research project about community archiving based
in Liverpool.
The project is co-supervised by Writing on the Wall, a community
organisation based in Liverpool 8 who have a long history of anti-racist
activity/organisation, and the proposed project would involve working with
community archives created by WoW which have strong connections to the
history of Liverpool's black population (particularly the 1919 'Race Riots'
Archive, and the Liverpool 8 Law Centre Archive).
The project will be starting in October, and the deadline for applications
is the 11th of February.
Please forward along to anyone who may be interested - but please note that
an ESRC Research Accredited Master's-level degree is also a part of the
requirements for this +3 funding.
