Dear Colleagues,
I am proud to share with you the result of a two-year art-based research
project on the Anthropocene, for which I have served as a member of the
Advisory Research Group: *The Anthropocene Atlas of Geneva*.
The project, directed by Dr Gene Ray and founded by the prestigious *Swiss
National Science Foundation*, has produced a public archive and open-access
resource, *The Anthropocene Atlas of Geneva*, which is now live as
a website and online Atlas*: *https://head.hesge.ch/taag/en/
Archived on the website are more than 30 interviews with Geneva scientists,
diplomats, artists, professionals and grassroots activists. A *Glossary*
contains nearly 60 short essays enriched by visual works by Denise Bertchi,
Ursula Biemann, Giulia Bruno, Chris Jordan, Armin Linke, Oliver Ressler,
Luc Schuiten, Paulo Tavares, and Marie Velardi.
The resulting *Online* *Atlas* is both a snapshot of local responses to
socially-caused planetary change in Geneva in 2017-2018, and an art-based
research composition (assemblage) containing numerous new representations
of the Anthropocene.
This project has aimed to be exemplary and innovative in form as well as
content, demonstrating a kind of situated and localized art-led
interdisciplinary research that could be conducted and published along
similar lines in other cities of the world.

Please share widely these infos as *The Anthropocene Atlas of Geneva* is a
truly great contribution to the contemporary debate on what art is for the
Anthropocene and what the Anthropocene is for the arts.
Thanks and best wishes,
Gabriella
