Assistant-, Associate-, Full- Professor and Senior Staff in Population Health and Healthcare Epidemiology (Cluster Hiring Possible)
The Institute of Healthcare Delivery Science (I-HDS), a trans-disciplinary research institute affiliated with the Department of Population Health Science and Policy at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking tenure-track faculty members at the rank of Assistant-, Associate-, Full- Professor, and Senior Staff positions. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Preferred areas of expertise include epidemiology with an interest in research methodology, Biostatistics, health economics, health policy, decision science, or healthcare informatics. Responsibilities include developing quality improvement and comparative effectiveness projects that will contribute toward improvements in the quality, safety, outcomes and efficiency of care delivered in the Mount Sinai Health System, an integrated health care system now encompassing seven hospitals within New York City. Although projects are first initiated with local improvement goals, those scalable to other health systems nationally and internationally are given higher priority. Applicants must present evidence of research and teaching experience and an interest in health care delivery science. Icahn school of Medicine at Mt-Sinai leadership is working on its strategic planning for the next five years (2017-22) and will be starting its related capital campaign. Therefore, we are looking for big vision of reforming healthcare delivery and improving population health locally that can be emulated nationally. Faculties to be recruited will be resourced adequately for his/her success. Cluster hiring of interdisciplinary team of 4-6 faculty and staff is also possible.

Required Qualifications
- Earned PhD, MD, or MD, PhD or MS with >5 years of work experience
- Record of related research and teaching experience appropriate to rank
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest in one or more of the following clinical areas: Respiratory Disease (Asthma, COPD, Lung disease, Sleep Apnea), Neurology, Psychiatry, Pharmacology, and/or Oncology
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with community partners, such as local and state health departments
- Demonstrated experience in quantitative and /or qualitative and /or survey research methods
