We are seeking an individual to work on a NIHR HTA funded project at the Department of Biostatistics, University of Liverpool.
Research Assistant in Medical Statistics Grade 6
£28,660 - £31,302 pa

The key purpose of this post will be to undertake data management activities and statistical analyses as part of an individual patient data meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials, evaluating the efficacy of psychological therapies for psychosis. The project is funded through an NIHR HTA Evidence Synthesis grant, and will identify the individual moderators of response to psychological treatment in people with diagnosis of schizophrenia or related psychoses. You will join a multidisciplinary team including researchers with a track record of impactful meta-analytic studies, world leading CBT experts and renowned statisticians with extensive expertise in RCT methodology/analysis and individual patient data meta-analysis (Filippo Varese, Tony Morrison, Catrin Tudur Smith, Richard Emsley, Maria Sudell).
You should hold a first degree with a substantial statistics component (or equivalent experience). You should have prior experience of statistical analysis applied to health intervention data, and experience of managing datasets.
