Dear all,
I refined a virus to 3.73 A by using a relatively tight mask with
solvent flattening turned on as this gave me the highest resolution.
When I subsequently run Postprocessing for map sharpening (by using the
same mask) I got a resolution of only 3.98 A. I do not seam to have the
pixel size issue described here:
https://www2.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk/relion/index.php?title=Pixel_size_issues
because the shape of the FSC curve is inconspicuous (at least to me).
What might be the reason? How can I sharpen the map without losing
(nominal ?) resolution?
Thank you all, Dieter
