Dear friends,
The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is looking for candidates to join the Machine Learning for Smart Mobility Group in DTU’s Transport Division in the following 4 positions:
1) Research Assistant / PhD scholar in Smart Mobility Management and Operation (deadline: 31/01/2019)
In this project we aim at leveraging the existing theoretical foundation on tradable permit schemes and focus on its potential deployment and impact assessment for multi-modal mobility management. The project will be rooted around a the implementation in realistic simulation applications. Other data sources, namely from controlled experiments to be designed by the team, can be incorporated into the project to further test the developed frameworks. The candidate will start as a Research Assistant with the possibility, given successful performance, to continue with a 3 year PhD scholarship.

2) Research Assistant / PhD scholar in Dynamic Travel Behaviour and Machine Learning (deadline: 31/01/2019)
The successful applicant will work on the development and understanding of the dynamics in individual decision making related to transportation. Both choice modelling classical methods and emerging machine learning techniques will be combined with stochastic process formulations to model such dynamics, focusing on scenarios with the introduction of a new smart mobility service in urban areas. The candidate will start as a Research Assistant with the possibility, given successful performance, to continue with a 3 year PhD scholarship.

3) Postdoctoral applicants for a 2 year fellowship within the EuroTech Alliance (DTU, EPFL, TUMunich, TU Eindhoven, Technion and École Polytechnique L’X) in the area of Smart and Urban Mobility (deadline: 28/02/2019)
This area aims to address today’s urban mobility challenges, including automotive technologies, green transport, intelligent transport systems, logistics and planning systems. This area’s mission is to catalyze comprehensive integrated approaches by taking user needs, urban space requirements, implications of technological innovations as well as the sound design and implementation of policies into account.
