Hi Zoi

Not sure if you are including experiential evidence? I have done a lot of water VBACs in the past as has many other independent midwives. Unsure if there is empirical studies on water VBAC but there is heaps of practice experience to tap into.

Cheers

Susan

Dear All,

I am looking for studies and references you may know that are looking into VBAC and waterbirth or VBAC and water immersion. I am interested to explore this further.

Does anyone have current evidence on the topic, please?

Thank you in advance!

Very best Wishes,

Zoi

Dear Zoi,

We reported a small qualitative study exploring the views of eight women who'd had a water VBAC:

Subject: Re Calling midwives to take part in our national UK survey (Final few weeks to take part!)

Good afternoon Midwife colleagues

As a member of JISC network I am contacting as many midwives as possible, to encourage participation in this national midwife survey, as well as seeking your help to disseminate the survey across your networks.

UK Midwives wanted for survey on advising pregnant women about alcohol (MAMA survey)

We are a research team from University of Edinburgh and University of Hull looking for UK Midwives to fill in a survey about advising pregnant women about alcohol. Final few weeks to participate! (To early January 2019)

The survey is an opportunity for midwives to make their voice heard, to assist in identifying potential barriers for discussing alcohol in antenatal care will help midwives, women, partners, and babies. We are very appreciative for the time given to complete this survey.

We want to make sure we capture the situation in all four nations of the UK, so if you can please share the survey with your midwife colleagues across Wales, and in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

So far, we have over 760 midwives who have taken part.

Midwives who fill it out have the opportunity to enter into a prize draw to win one of three £100 John Lewis vouchers.

More detailed information about the survey is available as you access the survey link.

Any questions can be addressed to the Principal Investigator, Lisa Schölin, at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]><mailto:[log in to unmask]>

Dear Julie

Do you have any problems with this being advertised on social media? I would be happy to post link. I will also be conducting an online national survey of midwives (prob launch Jan 2020) that will be looking into shift lengths, working practices etc. I plan to advertise on social media (amongst others) - I am aware that this will be open access and this is something that you might not want. If you are happy for me to share on Facebook let me know.
