Triad has a new Senior GIS role based in Milton Keynes.
Our client, a well-known rail infrastructure company based in Central Milton Keynes is currently seeking to add a Geospatial Analytics Manager.
The role;
Lead the provision of a comprehensive geospatial analytics and reporting services to meet internal and external customer requirements, managing service and data related risks in line with Asset Information Services wider governance framework. Identify and deliver service and capability improvements and disseminate data provision best practice throughout the team.
Key Accountabilities;
1.Lead the provision of a comprehensive geospatial analytics and reporting service to internal and external customers and stakeholders
2.Lead the identification of business and safety risk associated with the analytics and reporting service and work with direct reports to reduce risk to agreed acceptable levels
3.Lead the development of a library of Asset Information reporting definitions and measures
4.Develop and implement relevant reporting processes, procedures and work instructions
5.Develop and implement an assurance framework and KPIs for the geospatial analytics and reporting service
6.Work with managers and stakeholders to identify future requirements for geospatial analytics outputs and assess the impact on current resources, processes and systems
7.Facilitate the team’s participation in, and responses to, regulatory audits and reviews of analytics and reporting activities and capabilities, and any subsequent recommendations
8.Facilitate benchmarking and implement identified best practice and other capability improvement initiatives throughout the team
9.Lead the monitoring and reporting of the effectiveness of the geospatial analytics and reporting processes, and proactively progress improvements
10.Lead communication on geospatial analytics and reporting outputs and promote awareness of the relevant standards and processes throughout the organisation
11.Act as company specialist on asset information geospatial analytics and reporting, providing advice to internal and external customers and stakeholders.
Skills, experience and qualifications;
Essential
•Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject
•Hands on GIS Analysis skills
•Excellent communication and analytics skills, with proven ability to communicate and present information effectively and appropriately
•Substantial knowledge of the use and potential of GIS based systems
•Proven experience of GIS based reporting
•Proven ability to work with senior industry stakeholders to understand their requirements
•Proven experience in managing and developing teams to achieve high performance
Desirable
•Membership of a professional body with chartered status
•Experience of using ArcGIS software
•Good knowledge of the rail industry and its regulatory framework
•Understanding of railway infrastructure
•Network analysis experience
•Experience of extracting and manipulating information from multiple sources, including databases
•Experience of Ordnance Survey map products
