Hi Mary
I don't think there is a way of providing traditional approach to EQA with TCBs but am happy to be put right if members know of a scheme.
Regular comparison with the lab result would be an approach you could take. Bloods may well be being sent to the lab for other investigations at the same time so a lab bilirubin can be requested and compared in relation to what your equipment validation established for the performance criteria of TCB vs Lab.

Subject: Trancutaneous bilimeter EQA
Dear All,
Does anyone know if there is an EQA scheme for the transcutaneous bilimeters? If there is not, what do others do to satisfy the standard around EQA?
Kind regards,
Mary
