Dear all,
A PhD studentship is available here in the Geography Department at Royal Holloway. The project is linked to the successful AHRC Creative Clusters bid, now called 'StoryFutures'. Please do pass on to interested parties.
The project is entitled 'Micro Machines: A critical analysis of the networked production, and the freelance labour geographies of the Computer Games Industry' and will focus on the creative and emotional labour within the precarious arena of freelance work in the computer game sector. It aims to plug into the wider project by focusing on the networking practices of freelancers and how that helps or hinders the development of creative production.
There is more information about the post, and the Story Futures project available here: https://jobs.royalholloway.ac.uk/vacancy.aspx?ref=1118-465. The studentship aims to start in January 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Any questions can be directed to me at [log in to unmask]
Thanks,
