Dear Waldy,
The issue is probably with the way you installed the updates: they have
to overwrite existing files and not be unpacked in a different
directory. There could also be an issue if your current directory is
C:\Windows\system32 when you start SPM. See this link for details:

Note that the updates are already included in a fresh download of SPM12
so it is very likely you don't need to install any updates at this stage.
