SAVE THE DATE: The next hermeneutic phenomenology methodology course is due to be held w.c. 8th July, 2019 (flyers/links to bookings to be issued shortly) at the University of Central Lancashire.
We are also looking for speakers for the symposium to be held on Friday 12th July, 2019 - see below:
We are now accepting abstracts for the Hermeneutic Methodology Symposium to be held on Friday 12th July 9-4.30pm that follows the 4 day methodological course.
If you have completed a hermeneutic phenomenological study in health or social sciences, we would welcome your abstract to speak for ~40 minutes on your study and methodological experiences. The symposium is a standalone event in which course participants, as well as other academics and students can attend.
Please send an abstract to Gill and Susan by 30th January 2019. Include in your 500 word abstract:
• An overview of your study
• Why hermeneutic phenomenology study was adopted (as well as key philosophers/influences) • Methodological considerations • Findings, together with philosophical notions you used to help interpret your findings and key conclusions
Review and Selection of the 2019 abstracts will be undertaken by the Review Committee. Decisions on which abstracts will be included in the Symposium will be provided by end of March, 2019.
