Subject: RE: New euro-peristat report
That’s what I said in my comment, but as usual there is no interest in our report in the countries of the UK:
The paediatric establishment has already told everyone our infant mortality rates are the ‘worst’ in Europe and dismissed ‘like for like’ comparisons as irrelevant.
The obstetric establishment is busy with ‘life saving’ caesareans and inductions to ‘drive down’ our stillbirth rates to the level of Norway and doesn’t want to know that Norway’s caesarean rate is under 18%.
The midwifery establishment, whose members are functioning as obstetric nurses to aid and abet the obstetricians in the above, while talking about physiological childbirth.
Who in the ‘United ?’ fiefdom of England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Rockall would believe a report compiled by over 100 collaborators in 31 European countries anyway?
So please spread the word around.
Thanks for the suggestion about the Conversation. They are based at City and I have written for them before. I’ll give them a ring now.
Best wishes, Alison
