The Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) is delighted to announce the launch of its new journal, IET Cyber-systems and Robotics in partnership with Zhejiang University and Zhejiang University Press in China.
The journal will publish the latest, original research in both the fundamental philosophy of cybernetics (how humans, animals and machines control and communicate with each other) and advanced technologies in artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics.
The journal’s Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Jian Chu, founder of the Supcon Group (one of China’s leading automation companies) and the founding director of the Institute of Cyber-Systems and Control at Zhejiang University, explains: “Despite artificial intelligence (AI) starting to play a role in every area of our society, there is still a long way for scientists and engineers to go before the machine intelligence era really makes an impact. I think IET Cyber-systems and Robotics has launched just at the right time and will provide an excellent platform to accelerate the development of artificial intelligence technologies & systems (AITS).”
The journal will share the latest evolutions in cybernetics providing a much-needed forum to promote technological innovation in control technology, computer vision, computational intelligence, mechatronics design, biomedical engineering, system integrations.
Kruna Vukmirovic, Publisher of IET Journals, said “The launch of IET Cyber-systems and Robotics journal comes at an exciting time with the recent scientific breakthroughs in cybernetics such as brain-computer interface and cyborg. The new journal will complement and enhance the IET’s footprint in a key topic of AI and robotics engineering and will help to maintain our position as one of the leading content providers in the area.”
