CALL FOR PAPERS
Hi,
In early April 2019, we will host a conference focused on the role of 'globalizing actors' in multinational companies, drawing on one of the collaborative projects within the CRIMT Institutional Experimentation for Better Work Partnership project. It will be hosted by one of the Partnership Project Partner Centres, the Institute for International Management at Loughborough University London.
The focus will be the process of global norm formation in multinational companies. In particular, we are interested in those individuals who are responsible for the creation, diffusion, interpretation and negotiation of norms – which may be rules, principles or guidelines – across the international operations of multinationals, as well as the range of other actors in linked settings – consultancies, trade unions, NGOs, advocacy groups, etc – who also shape global norms affecting the management of organisations, work and employment. We refer to these individuals as globalizing actors.
The conference welcomes contributions of a range of types, using different methodologies and theoretical perspectives and focusing on different types of globalizing actor. The extended due date for Paper Proposals is 15 January 2019 (see attachment for details, or download at : http://www.crimt.org/Conference_Flyer_Call_for_Papers.pdf).
