I have a fMRI study whereby 2 groups of participants (Nap or Wake) learn words in the scanner and were tested for recollection before and after the Nap/Wake period. Each scan has 2 sessions/runs (so 2 scans before the Nap/Wake and 2 scans after the Nap/Wake).
In summary, the study has a 2 x 2 x 2 design:
1. Group: Nap VS Wake {Between Subjects}
2. Time: Before Nap/Wake (Recall1) VS After Nap/Wake (Recall2) --- This is {Within Subjects}
3. Recollection: Remembered VS Forgotten words {Within Subjects}
Here is what I think I should do according to the many FSL tutorials I have gone through:
Level 1: Within-Session Analysis -> 40 subjects x 2 sessions/runs = 80 1st-level FEAT analyses (this is where I get the contrasts for Remembered > Forgotten AND Forgotten < Remembered etc)
Level 2: Between-Session Analysis -> Input data from level 1, to average the 2 sessions/runs to estimate each subject's mean response
Level 3: This is where I am stuck. Do I do an ANOVA here for Group x Time? And how should I do it?
I will really appreciate any help from anyone. Thank you!
Kind Regards,
TY
