Role
"The Windrush Strikes Back (WSB) is a socially-engaged history research project focused on uncovering and decolonizing the histories of British African Caribbean people in Warwickshire. In this project, researchers from and invited by the Global Warwickshire Collective will work with and mentor community participants between the ages of 18-27, who are descendants of the Windrush generation, to develop skills necessary to conduct historical research, including conducting oral histories of local community members and building digital community archives. These participants or ‘decolonial detectives’ will also be provided with tools and skills to translate this research into a multitude of outputs, including the presentation of research at relevant academic conferences and scholarly publications; the development of teaching resources; and the curation of a exhibition."
