Hello Everyone,
Alix Green (Lecturer in History, University of Essex) and Judy Faraday (Heritage Services Manager, the John Lewis Partnership) are working with a group of business archivists to develop guidance on academic collaboration for the Business Archives Council. We hope this document will complement the general guidance produced by The National Archives by providing advice tailored to the particular needs of Business Archives. Our aim is to help business archivists develop collaborative projects with academics and Higher Education Institutions that benefit their parent organisations and so demonstrate the value of the collections and of expert archive staff.
As part of this work we have put together a very short survey on collaboration between Business Archives and academics and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
The data collected from this survey will be used to design the guidance so that it meets the needs and interests of Business Archives. The survey should take 4-5 minutes to complete. All answers will remain anonymous and confidential. If you want to find out more about this project or to get involved with the group's work, there is an opportunity to leave an email address at the end (you can withdraw at any time) or you can contact Alix Green at: [log in to unmask]
The survey can be accessed here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/FQHFNCH
Many Thanks,
Tamara Thornhill

The survey will close on Friday 30th November.
