Research Fellow in Biostatistics, University of Leeds, full time, fixed term for 1 year

Working on a number of projects in the genetic epidemiology and pharmacogenetics of musculoskeletal and vascular disease, your research will include analysis of data from large-scale genetic association studies in UK and international cohorts of patients with giant cell arteritis.
You will also contribute to the work of the Medical Research Council/Arthritis Research UK-funded MATURA consortium (Maximising Therapeutic Utility for Rheumatoid Arthritis: A stratified medicine approach for rheumatoid arthritis), which is a national consortium aiming to identify genetic and genomic markers to predict which patients with rheumatoid arthritis will respond best to which treatment.
You will be based in the Statistical Genetics group in the Section of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Leeds Institute of Data Analytics (LIDA), in the Worsley Building, University of Leeds.
The successful applicant will have a first degree and PhD (or close to completion) in a relevant quantitative field such as epidemiology, statistics or a closely allied discipline, OR an MSc and substantial research experience in biostatistics

University Grade 7 (£33,199 to £39,609 per annum) depending on qualifications and experience.
