Statistician, The Government of Bermuda
The Statistician works under the direction of the Director to manage and control censuses, surveys and other statistical enquires within the broad area of social and demographic, economics and business statistics, as mandated under the Statistics Act 2002. The post-holder undertakes in-depth research and analyses of socio-economic data and provides statistical advice and professional consultancy to other Government Departments requesting assistance in the collection, processing, analysis and presentation of social and demographic, economic and business data.
Applicants must possess a Master’s Degree or equivalent in Sociology, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or a related subject area, involving formal training in quantitative research and analysis techniques. Must have a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience, preferably in a Government statistical environment. A certificate of formal training in supervisory management is also required.
