Dear partners, colleagues and friends,
On October 18, we commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement and of the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre at our interdisciplinary conference on internal displacement and sustainable development.
With over 100 participants from government, civil society, academia and intergovernmental organisations, discussing the latest research on development, humanitarian, economic and political issues relating to displacement and the Sustainable Development Goals, it was a substantive and enriching exchange.
We are happy to share with you the summary of the day’s exchanges ( https://gallery.mailchimp.com/2951e635519a2c935fa77331c/files/40366282-5239-438e-9d9c-2ba7b0443dc3/20th_anniversary_report_2_.pdf ), presentations ( http://www.internal-displacement.org/events/getting-to-2030-internal-displacement-and-sustainable-development ) that were made by our invited speakers and photos ( https://www.facebook.com/pg/InternalDisplacement/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1886126671463319 ) of the event. I would like to thank you for your continued interest in and support of IDMC's work, and look forward to continuing these conversations into the future.
Best regards,
Alexandra Bilak
Director, Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC)
