Hello all,
Would you like to catch up with developments in heritage apprenticeships since last HERForum meeting? There's a #heritagechat discussion on apprenticeships on Twitter between 13.00 and 14.00 today which you would be very welcome to join. Just find and follow @HeritageChat or #heritagechat
#heritagechat discussions run every 3rd Thursday of the month, managed by Heritage 2020. Full details are at
http://www.heritage2020.net/get-involved/heritage-chat/
My apologies for not thinking to share details of this opportunity sooner with you all. If you can't take part today, there will be a summary of the discussion on that page in a few days time.
The focus will be on these questions:-
1.What are the key skills employers in the historic environment sector look for when recruiting apprentices and trainees?
2.What are the main issues that heritage organisations face when considering recruiting apprentices?
3.How might apprenticeship training help boost integrated working in our sector?
4.Is the sector ready for new apprenticeships? How much awareness is there about how they will work?
5.In which particular areas might apprenticeships be most effective?
6.What workplace training do heritage organisations already provide that works well?
If you want to add your answer to one of those, just include A1, A2 etc as well as #heritagechat in your Tweet.
Thanks all,
Edmund
