It is important to update the entire @file_array directory (and not just
the MEX files); you will otherwise very likely run into some other
incompatibility issues due to related changes in the MEX file and the
rest of the library.
I also agree with Anderson about the error during compilation - the
error message is odd as it doesn't correspond to the code in the toolbox:
