Newcastle College School of Education require a new External Examiner for three teacher education programmes for the post-compulsory sector:
Foundation Degree in Education and Training (level 5)
Foundation Degree in Education and Training for Specialists in Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (level 5)
PGCE for Specialists in Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (level 7)
All programmes require knowledge and experience of initial teacher education for further education. Preference will be given to applicants who are able to examine all three programmes. The PGCE and Foundation Degree in Education and Training for Specialists in Learning Difficulties and Disabilities require current knowledge of the SEND landscape, associated legislation and policy, and with extensive experience of working with learners with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. We would also expect experience of assessment and curriculum design at levels 5 and 7.
