You can't grep a column. grep is a tool to find character strings in
text files and wasn't designed to be positionally oriented. You can
have use the cut command. Not sure what the data looks like, but if the
rlnClassDistribution column is the third column and the fields are
delimited by tabs you could just to this:
cut my_data_file -f 3 > just_rlnClassDistribution
You can set an alternative delimiter or cut by horizontal character
location. Google for examples.
