List members may be interested to hear about this year’s Scottish Records Association (SRA) and Scottish Place-Name Society (SPNS) conference which is being held on Saturday 17th November in Edinburgh.
The theme for the conference this year is ‘Hence the name’ and it will comprise a series of talks by authoritative speakers on various topics regarding sources for place-name and personal name research in Scotland.
Speakers include: Dr Meredith Kane; Dr Alice Crook; Chris Fleet; Prof Carole Hough; Dr Simon Taylor; Dr Joanna Tucker; Robin Urquhart; Dr Eila Williamson.
