Berwick Record Office as part of Northumberland Archives has a vacancy for a Cataloguing Archivist
Duration : Fixed term 1 year contract
Salary : Band 6 : £23, 866 – 26,470 with pension benefits
Location : Berwick-upon-Tweed
The Berwick Record Office wishes to recruit a professionally qualified archivist to work on an exciting project to recatalogue the original Berwick Borough Archive collection as well as catalogue new additional deposits . The collection covers the 16th – 20th centuries and illustrates the colourful history of England’s most northerly borough. Thanks to funding from the National Archives and Pilgrim’s Trust “Archives Revealed” programme, the cataloguing archivist will create an electronic online catalogue for the collection and work with the Berwick Archivist and other staff to develop volunteering opportunities and promotional activities centred on the collection.
