East Dunbartonshire Leisure & Culture Trust are pleased to offer this exciting new role within our heritage and arts team. This is an opportunity to work with one of the most extensive local studies collections in Scotland that attracts a wide range of users.
This new role will ensure the care and maintenance of East Dunbartonshire Local Studies Collections and will contribute to the development of the collections and promote their use. You will work closely with the Archives Officer and frontline library team to deliver a high standard of enquiry service for our customers. You’ll have experience of working in a frontline library service and have knowledge of family and local history research and resources. You’ll also be comfortable delivering training, and producing guidelines and standards that empower people in good practice.
You must be a qualified librarian; have excellent ICT skills; and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment. You must also have the ability to work under your own initiative with minimum supervision, and good communication skills.
