Helen -
At Reading we ask students to let us know by a date in January (ie before we start scheduling our Summer Term exam period) if they have exam timetabling requests for religious reasons. We can't guarantee to accommodate those requests although we will try. Our exam slots run 0900-1200h and 1400-1700h Monday to Friday.
If a student becomes ill as a result of religious observance during the exam period this will be covered by our extenuating circumstances policy.

Dear all
I am trying to establish Sector best practice in respects of Ramadan and 'reasonable adjustments' you may make/consider for example during exams.
Happy to share findings.
Many thanks
Kind regards
Helen
