Dear AFLS members and friends,
Following consultation on the choice of a new logo for AFLS, it seems
that there is no easy choice. Except, that is, if we decide not to
change anything. So, following the AGM discussions, the online
consultation and subsequent exchanges within the committee, it has been
decided that the current logo, despite its flaws, should be retained. In
fact the online consultation has revealed how attached many of you are
to the AFLS logo. Now, if anyone is into logo designing and can come up
with new idea that will meet with appproval from everyone, then that
would be great. Meanwhile, the AFLS show must go on, and I'm pleased to
announce that the call for papers for the 2019 conference in Bristol
(15-17 July) is due to go out any time now!
Best wishes,
Henry Tyne
