Dear Collective,
Abbott Glucose/ketone meters - FSPP
Integrated into EPR
Going UniPOC - POCcelerator - Cerner
Established yesterday that UniPOC does not send its action/critical ranges in the HL7 message to POCcelerator.
So when the glucose and ketone results arrive in the EPR, there is no indication of normal or abnormal.
I appreciate we are unusual as not going via LIS - which can be manipulated to provide ranges.
But are we really the only ones?
Anyone else doing this and managing to achieve flags for abnormal?
I have sent an official complaint to Abbott. As far less sophisticated POCT equipment that we have integrated is capable of doing this!
Thanks
Katy
