pH on Radiometer ABL90 blood gas analysers.
We currently have the default reportable ranges set (pH 6.75-7.85) but our paediatricians have asked if they could report lower. Radiometer quote Ranges of Indication (pH6.3-8.0) which are ranges that the analyser can physically measure, but for which they don't quote any data regarding performance. I just wondered if anybody has nay experience of reporting below the reportable ranges on these analysers? And if so, how did you go about validating?
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Many thanks
Helen
