There is a 2- Year Post-Doctoral Position available at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, NY, USA.
Research Responsibilities (95% effort): The successful applicant will be expected to
(a) Conduct neuroimaging research in psychosis, with emphasis on the prodromal/early stages of the disease to support on-going research programs under the joint supervision of Dr. Frangou and Dr. Corcoran and also with other collaborators within the Department of Psychiatry;
(b) Determine appropriate research methodologies for neuroimaging research;
(c) Apply appropriate research methodologies for neuroimaging research
(d) Analyse results/conclusions to formulate new concepts and ideas;
(e) Initiate and assist in new neuroimaging projects in psychosis;
(f) Initiate and assist in submitting grant applications to generate external funding;
(g) Lead and assist in the writing of academic manuscripts and reports to funding agencies;
(h) Lead and assist in dissemination of research findings through presentations in learning societies and public engagement activities
Teaching Responsibilities (5% effort): The successful applicant will be expected to:
(a) Supervise and assist in the training of junior colleagues (residents, doctoral and master’s students and junior post-doctoral fellows) in the conduct of neuroimaging research in psychiatry;
(b) Lead and assist in the organization and implementation of neuroimaging courses and workshops for the larger neuroimaging community at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
(c) Receive and coordinate student feedback to improve teaching methods/curriculum
