Nick,
if you have a spatial model and are looking to validate agent movement patterns - (I hope I have that right?) you might look at two possibilities. First, space syntax analysis of the spatial layout which has been shown to correlate with observed pedestrian and vehicular movement patterns. Second, the EVAS agent simulations which come from the same base and also have been shown to correlate. The problem in both cases is that you are ‘correlating with something that correlates’ and that is not quite so nice as going direct to primary data.
