Dear Geo-Mineralisation members,
Please use this link to access the latest bulletin of the Applied Mineralogy Group (AMG), Applied Mineralogist, http://tiny.cc/92tyyy. It contains reports from our student bursary recipients, a special feature on X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy by Prof. Martin Smith of University of Brighton, and a challenging crossword!
If there is any content you would like to contribute, please forward any articles, comments or notices of events, conferences and workshops to [log in to unmask] before the 20th November so that they can be included in the next bulletin. All previous issues of the Applied Mineralogist are available to download from: https://www.minersoc.org/amg-appliedmineralogist.html
The AMG is currently looking for a new student representative to join the committee! The committee has two student members, the term is usually 2-3 years and the main task is to compile the Applied Mineralogist. Student committee members have the opportunity to work with committee members on events, and contribute to the distribution of our bursaries. Further information is available on out web page: https://www.minersoc.org/amg.html.
If you are interested (or send any interested students our way!) please get in touch with me and send a short outline (one paragraph max.) of your motivation for joining the committee.
Kind regards,
Eimear Deady
Secretary of the Applied Mineralogy Group
