These programmes are delivered at our Taunton Campus in Somerset and we will require one panel member for each programme. Process Panel Members (PPMs) are nominated to take part in both the preliminary (internal) validation meeting organised by the College and in the final validation meeting organised by The Open University. PPMs are expected to be involved in the consideration of draft programme documentation and engage in an interactive way with the programme team in the run-up to internal validation.
The successful applicants will be required to start from November 2018, subject to appointment by The Open University (interested applicants must not have had any formal links with Bridgwater College/Somerset College or the Open University within the last five years).
The applicant must have previous internal/external examining experience along with relevant academic and/or professional qualifications to at least the level of a BA (Hons) Degree. The applicant should hold a current academic role within Higher Education in order to be able to reflect on academic standards in the context of Higher Education.
We will agree a convenient date for the preliminary validation meeting with the PPM appointed, however they must be available to attend the Final Validation Event which takes place on one of the dates listed above.
You will be paid a fee for this role, accommodation will be provided for the final validation event, and you will be reimbursed for travel and subsistence expenses.
To apply or if you have any enquiries about the role, please email The HE Team at [log in to unmask] and attach a copy of your CV, stating which programme event you would like to be considered for.
The deadline for applications is Friday 5 October 2018.
