Senior Medical Statistician

Applications are invited for the above post based at the NIHR Research Design Service for the East Midlands (RDS EM), School of Medicine.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced medical statistician with a strong background in the design, conduct, analysis and reporting of randomised trials and other quantitative research studies. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of RDS advisors who provide methodological support and advice to researchers developing high quality applied health or social care research applications for submission to national peer reviewed funding streams.
The successful candidate will be a team player with good communication skills who will enjoy working with other members of the team as well as individually. The candidate should have a PhD in medical statistics, epidemiology, health services research, or clinical trials. Training and skills in applying expert statistical knowledge in the design and analysis of a range of applied health research studies, including phase three clinical trials and other quantitative designs are required. They should provide evidence of significant research experience of designing and conducting quantitative research in an applied of health research setting in the UK, and an appropriate track record of peer reviewed publications.
