Dear all
We have a few places still available on our workshop on theory and practice in optimising antibiotic use in hospitals internationally. This free 2 day workshop will include a day of talks and discussion on the international challenges of antimicrobial stewardship in hospitals, and the role of social science theory in characterising problems and developing contextually relevant interventions. The second day will explore the application of theories of social dilemmas, collective action, and agent based modelling approaches to research into antibiotic use and AMR.
We'll be presenting findings from our GCRF-funded project studying decisions about the use of broad spectrum antibiotics in hospitals in the UK, Sri Lanka, and South Africa, alongside guest speakers including:
Prof Alex Broom, UNSW, Australia
Dr Clare Chandler, LSHTM, UK
Prof Shaheen Mehtar, Chair of Infection Control Africa Network.
