This is probably harmless. See comments from Jasenko (the developer

Perhaps it is just taking time? Unfortunately, tuning can be very slow.
What is the CPU usage during this?
It is also useful to see if it finishes quickly if you specify only
100 particles for tuning (of course, the result is not useful;
just for testing).
