To whom it may concern,
Periperi U is hosting a 'summer school'-type event, the Risk Methods School, in Dar es Salaam (from 10-22 Sept) that is offering intensive training in interdisciplinary disaster risk research methods. Periperi U is a partnership of African universities committed to advancing disaster risk scholarship to advance development prospects in risk-prone communities.
The Risk Methods School draws on expertise across the consortium to provide intensive immersion in applying integrated research methods to better manage Africa's highly dynamic risk profile. The five-day courses are themed with an explicit interdisciplinary lens, and also draw on expertise from UN agencies such as the UNDP and WHO with experience in the field.
