Subject: Registration for international colloquium on reparations in Benin
Greetings to everyone,
We are pleased to inform you that registration to the international colloquium on reparations being organized by the International Network of Scholars and Activists for Afrikan Reparations (INOSAAR) in collaboration with the Association panafricaine pour une reparation globale de l'esclavage is now open. The conference is entitled 'Returning to Source: The Future of Reparations and Restorative Justice for Afrikan Enslavement' and will be taking place at the Musée da Silva, Porto Novo, Benin, on 19 to 21 September. A full programme will be available shortly, but a list of invited speakers can be found in the call for papers: https://www.inosaar.llc.ed.ac.uk/sites/default/files/atoms/files/cfp_benin_english.pdf. The programme will include addresses from scholars and activists from across the world, including Benin, Canada, Côte d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Martinique, Nigeria, Senegal, Trinidad and Tobago, UK and USA. There is a small fee for academic/institutional attendees from countries outside of Afrika to help cover some of the conference costs. If you are able to come, please click on the following link and select the correct option: https://www.inosaar.llc.ed.ac.uk/en/information-international-participants. Information about travel, accommodation, airport transfer, health and visas is also available on our website. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact one of the conference organisers. Feel free to circulate this message via your own networks.
With thanks,
Nicki, Joyce and Bernard
