Senior Geospatial Analyst, Global
My client’s Global team in London are currently looking to recruit a Senior Geospatial Analyst.
Working as part of a multi-award winning GIS team in our London HQ, your role will be to strengthen and advance the use of geospatial products and services across internal business service functions and external multi-disciplinary client base. You will already be established in geospatial analytics or data visualisation and you will bring rich experience in the delivery of location insight products to high level stakeholders and clients.
You will design and lead analysis on datasets relating to urban markets and global wealth, drawing together spatial data on market performance, local planning frameworks, land ownership, demographics and transportation. Your analysis will not be limited to the UK and your outputs will cover each of the global markets. You will be actively encouraged to look at new ways to analyse and visualise data, and you will bring the vision, spontaneity and confidence to contribute ideas that gain traction with our clients and wider commentators.
You’ll join a team who are passionate about what we do and who have fun doing it. As a Senior Geospatial Analyst you won’t fit the mould, you’ll help shape it.
Highly desirable:
•Numerate degree e.g. Maths, Geomatics, Geographical Information Science Or an undergraduate degree in Town Planning, Geography, Environmental Science etc., coupled with a numerate MSc
•More than 6 years’ commercial industry experience
•Experience in advanced data analytics and visualisation
•Advanced data creation and spatial data management skills
•Experience in the deployment of Esri’s suite of GIS products
oStrong competence in Geoprocessing tools and Model Builder
oCompetent in use of Spatial Analyst, Network Analyst and 3D analyst extensions
oExperience and understanding of ArcGIS Pro
oExperience and understanding of ArcGIS Online
oExperience and understanding of ArcGIS Server
•Knowledge of data interoperability and moving spatial data to Google Earth, CartoDB
•Strong excel skills e.g. VLookup, Pivot tables, conditional formatting
•Strong knowledge of OS products, and awareness of industry demographic and market data sources like Land Registry, CACI, Experian, VOA and ONS
•Experience and understanding of Python / ArcPy
•Experience and understanding of Jupyter Notebook
•Experience and understanding of SQL
•Chartered Geographer or Chartered Geographer (GIS) accreditation
•Chartered Land Surveyor accreditation
•Management experience
