Part-time role - 27 Hours a week (0.73 FTE)
Grade D: £17,452.89 per annum - pro rata (Based on a full-time salary of £23,916 – Spine point Grade D1).
We are looking for an Assistant Project Officer with experience in identifying and recording archaeological artefacts and also a confident communicator to fill the post. This post is created with grant funding provided by the Heritage Lottery Fund (Collecting Cultures programme). This five year project involves collecting and engaging with the portable archaeological heritage of Wales.
Based at the National Museum Cardiff, the Assistant Project Officer will undertake two key roles. They will support the Project Managers and Project Officer in assisting with the delivery of successful project outcomes, including supporting ongoing Community Projects and curating engaging PAS Cymru website content. Secondly, they will work closely with the PAS Cymru Co-ordinator for Wales, assisting with artefact recording and uploading onto the PAS web database, dealing personably with finders and offering assistance with a range of PAS tasks linked with the delivery of the Saving Treasures project.
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work and travel independently to venues across Wales will be needed. The ability to communicate in Welsh to Entry Level standard (Level A1) is essential.’ For further information for what is expected of this, please look at the recruitment guidance. Bydd hefyd yn gweithio’n agos gyda Chydlynydd Canfyddiadau PAS Cymru gan gynorthwyo â’r gwaith o gofnodi gwrthrychau a’u llwytho i gronfa ddata PAS, ymdrin â’r canfyddwyr a chynorthwyo ag ystod o dasgau PAS sy’n gysylltiedig â phroject Hel Trysor, Hel Straeon.
