Hello Critters,
I'm not sure that (m)any people know what the UK really looks like. It's just too big and complicated. As a result, imaginations and assumptions distort decisions that affect our lives.
To help give a sense of proportion I've made The UK in 100 Seconds. Each second of the film = 1% of land cover. The film was made by travelling from Tongue in Scotland to the New Forest in England and walking through different categories of land cover and shooting them from a drone.
There is a premier screening of the film followed by some short talks and a discussion on September 24th at the Prince Charles Cinema in central London. Contributors include Andrew Simms, Beth Collier and Alasdair Rae.

Hope to see you there.
Many thanks,
Dan
