This is an opportunity for a highly-talented individual to make biostatistics the focus of their career, whilst utilising their previous education and training. You will be supervised by Professors Andy Vail (Biostatistics) and Karina Lovell (NIHR Senior Investigator).
The position will provide two years of dedicated time for you to undertake structured training in biostatistics, including pursuing the University of Manchester's Statistics MSc, and to gain experience in a world-class research environment. You will undertake research into efficacy and mechanism evaluation, including mediation analysis within the context of a randomised trial.
You should have a good (2:1 or above) honours degree or equivalent in mathematics, statistics or a scientific subject with a substantial mathematical or statistical content, and satisfy the entry requirements of the University of Manchester Masters in Statistics. You must also be eligible for UK/EU fees for this MSc programme. A commitment to developing a career in medical statistics in the public sector is essential.
