Senior Informatics Leader, Alzheimer’s Research UK, Cambridge, UK
Lead and drive the strategy to transform the detection and diagnosis of the diseases which underlie dementia for Alzheimer’s Research UK, striving for life-changing dementia treatment.
Alzheimer’s Research UK is the world’s leading dementia research charity dedicated to causes, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. Backed by our passionate scientists and supporters, we’re challenging the way people think about dementia, uniting the big thinkers in the field and funding innovative science that aims to bring about a life-changing dementia treatment by 2025. We’re a fast-moving, ideas-driven, young and dynamic organisation. One of our biggest strengths is the people that work for us. We attract, develop and retain the best talent because that’s what sets us apart.
As Senior Informatics Leader reporting to our Director of Research, your remit will be to lead, develop and implement a strategy with the aim of transforming the detection and potential diagnosis of the diseases which underlie dementia. Our aim is to develop a global solution by bringing together the key players in data science, clinical, technological and analytical research, to derive a diagnostic ‘fingerprint’ from multi-modal data. Liaising with both our Research and Policy & Public Affairs Teams to develop the early detection/diagnosis approach, you’ll also work with external experts to build up a network of partners from academia and the Pharmaceutical, Biotech and MedTech sectors who can contribute to the initiative.
