Bill
Jumped in Detroit
Quick calculation from on high
four - five body lengths stacked
Call it ten metres
Plenty ‘nough to do the job
Just take a bit of a lookie round first
Tons of traffic
Whoah, who’s this
coming across the overpass
Ah, boys in blue eh
No good fellas, too late
Mind’s made up
No one’s gonna miss
this little black duck
Certainly not Accusing Annie
This’ll show her
Who’ll she find to blame now?
Hey what tha
truck
Where’s that bitumen
Big semis manouevring
sidling up next to each other
right under Coolidge Highway
clogging up all the lanes both ways
hell, even between the lanes
All traffic’s stopped
For me
What’s it to them
No room
If I jump now that’s cut
It to what ... four - five metres
Not enough
I’d just be a broken-boned
Alive-o
OK, I’m listening listening
Maybe today
Is not the day
