So pleased to hear about changes being instigated by Amanda in ambulance
service in the UK. I also work in NZ and had a birth in an ambulance just
over a month ago of a term baby. As Kathyšs experience that baby was
positioned skin to skin with mum and cord intact. The cord was not clamped
or cut for about for 20 or so minutes after we arrived in the birthing
suite. The ambulance personnel were fantastic support during transfer and
didnšt even ask at birth or at anytime about cutting the cord.
