Our client is looking for a GIS Analyst who will report to the Asset Information Manager, this role will offer the post holder the opportunity to join the newly formed Asset Information Team, within the Maintenance Strategy Directorate. Joining the business at an exciting period of change, they seek to transform their operations; invest more in their existing homes; and grow by providing new homes.
As a dynamic, solution focused Analyst, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders and colleagues to develop and maintain GIS systems. Ensuring that system functionality is fit for purpose; supports improved decision making; and the provision of a better, more efficient service to our customers.
You will use a mixture of technical, communication, and creative problem-solving skills, to collaborate with customers and implement GIS systems and applications that deliver tangible benefits. You will be highly motivated, and enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to a significant increase use of GIS technology. You will also have an open-mind and willingness to adapt technical solutions to the requirements of end-users.
In addition, this role includes being the businesses GIS 'Super-User', being fully conversant with system functionality and able to provide support, guidance and training when required. You will be able to collate information from multiple sources, prepare and present performance monitoring reports, and collaborative with a wide variety of stakeholders to effect positive process changes.
Requirements
Technical GIS Knowledge - including: spatial analysis; cartography; data layering; GIS workflows; GIS modelling; tailored web-applications; and automated data management processes
Analytical Skills - including the ability to manipulate and interpret complex data sets; and distinguish key facts; trends; risks and opportunities
Communication skills - including cross-team collaboration; and a commitment to providing high levels of customer service
Time management skills - including the ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks
Demonstrable knowledge of database administration, management, and change control processes
Advanced Excel skills - including the relevant equations and tools to link, manipulate, and interrogate large, complex data-sets
Some flexibility to work from other company offices. The office in Kent is on the outer London Borders and is very much 'North Kent.'
