Hi,
I want to perform an fMRI experiment and I'm looking for a very small activation in the hippocampus. It is an event-related design and the event takes 2seconds.
I have realized that the plane of imaging 20-30 degrees titted from the Ac/Pc axes has been used to minimize the signal drop out in the medio-temporal regions. I was wondering whether using this Imaging plane is recommended and how it affects other Imaging parameters.
I also realized that best flip angle depends on the properties of a tissue. What flip angle is recommended for maximum hippocampal activation?
I also appreciate any advice about any of the other parameters like TR, TE etc that results in better hippocampal activation.
Many thanks,
Haleh
